How to import/export my RestoreMax configurations?

This guide will teach you how to export your RestoreMax configurations and import it to another computer.

1: Open up a explorer window, in the address field. Type in %appdata%

2: The path will now point to your windows profile's application folder. Now go into the following folders.

RestoreMax > RestoreMax > 1.0.0.x >

You now should able to see a file called Config.dat. This is the file that contains your RestoreMax configuration data.

Backup this file to another location or create a backup job to backup this file regularly.

If you want to create a Backup Job, the location of this file is

For Windows 2000/XP

+C:\\
+Documents and Settings
+your account
+Application Data
+RestoreMax
+RestoreMax
-1.0.0.x  -----------------> Config.dat

For Windows Vista:
+c:\\
+Users
+your account
+Appdata
+Roaming
+RestoreMax
+RestoreMax
-1.0.0.x -----------------> Config.dat

Now save this file to another machine by placing it in the same path.

For Windows 2000/XP:
c:\\Documents and Settings\\accountname\\Application Data\\RestoreMax\\RestoreMax\\1.0.0.x\\

For Windows Vista:
c:\\Users\\accountname\\Appdata\\Roaming\\RestoreMax\\RestoreMax\\1.0.0.x\\

 After you have replace the Config.dat, restart RestoreMax. Now RestoreMax have imported the settings from the previous machine.
