How to restore file(s)?

1: Right click on the RestoreMax icon at your task bar, and a menu should come up similar to the following.

2: Now click on Restore in the menu. A new window should come up similar to the following.

3: Now select the backup job you wish to obtain the file(s) from. After you have selected the specific job, the list for
"Available locations for selected job" should refresh and reflect the location available for that job.

4: Select the location you wish to restore from and click "OK". A new screen should come up similar to the following.

5: First you must select the time you wish to restore from under the "Available Backups" at the top left corner of the window. This is what we refer as a Backup Set.

6: After you have selected a Backup Set, the main "File Name" portion of the window should refresh to reflect the available files under that Backup Set.

**Please note, it may take longer for the "File Name" portion to load if this location is a remote location and the Backup Set is large.

7: To select a file(s) to restore, check the box on the left side of the file name. If you have done this step correctly, the "Restore # files" button should refresh and now it would display the total number of files you have selected to restore. If you wish to backup all files under this Backup Set, check the "All Files" radio button at the top right hand corner of the window.

8: Now select the location you want the files to restore to. RestoreMax will default the restore location to your windows profile's desktop. If you wish to restore to a different location, click on the "..." button to select a different location. OR if you wish to replace the current files on your system with the ones in the Backup Set, select the "Original Location (Will overwrite files) option.

**Please Note, this will overwrite your current files.

9: When you are ready to restore, click on the "Restore # Files" button at the middle right hand side of the window.

10: After restore has been completed. You should see the following box.
